1.
OUT OF BOUNDS - Balls coming to rest outside
the boundary fences of the course are "OUT OF BOUNDS".
PENALTY - STROKE and DISTANCE (Rule
27). |
2.
The ditch lying between the 3rd, 5th and 9th fairways is deemed
a "Water Hazard". (Rule 26-1) |
3.
Stones in Bunkers are moveable obstructions. (Rule 24-1). PENALTY
for breach of local rule - Matchplay LOSS OF HOLE, Strokeplay
- TWO SHOTS |
| 4.
IMMOVABLE OBSRUCTIONS - all shelters, artificially surfaced roads
and paths, railings, benches, distance markers, hazard markers and
tee area signage. Relief may be obtained under Rule (24-2) |
5.
PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES - identified by a stake or
green animal guard. If such a tree interferes with the players
stance or his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without
penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure described
in Rule 24-2b(i) (Immovable Obstruction). The ball may be cleaned
when so lifted. PENALTY for breach of local rule; Matchplay -
LOSS OF HOLE, Strokeplay - TWO SHOTS |
| 6. ROADS
AND PATHS - a ball coming to rest on the bridle path running
across the course may be lifted and dropped, within one clubs length
at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole without penalty.

7.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES - distance measuring
devices capable of assessing distance only may be used strictly
in accordance with Rule 14-3. PENALTY for breach of local Rule
7 - Disqualification. |
